The World's Largest Truck Convoy is a celebration of the trucking industry and its support of Special Olympics. It is a unique, national, one-day celebration in which Law Enforcement Officers make special dispensation and escort convoys of trucks through cities and towns all across America.Truckers all around the country meet at staging locations and are escorted in convoy to predetermined destinations such as raceways, fairgrounds or truck stops, where they are welcomed by the Special Olympics Community - athletes, families, friends, colleagues and law enforcement officers, as well as the organizations, companies and agencies that make up the trucking industry. A celebration - picnic, barbeque, awards ceremony, etc. is held to recognize participating truckers and the support of the trucking industry. Whatever form the celebration takes, the message is the same, "Thank you for your support of the Special Olympics athletes and for keeping our communities moving!"

FRIDAY JUNE 11, 2010, join the compassionate army of truck drivers in Idaho as Law Enforcement Officers escort the World's Largest Truck Convoy across our highways and byways of the Treasure Valley to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes and change attitudes toward people with intellectual disabilities.  SATURDAY JUNE 12, 2010, stick around and participate in the 6th Annual Truck Show & Shine, Presented by United Hauling! What a GREAT way to spend the weekend and support the Special Olympics Athletes in Idaho.

BOISE CONVOY!

For the fifth year Idaho is participating in the World's Largest Truck Convoy. Special Olympics Idaho athletes need YOU! A $100 per truck donation is requested to drive in the convoy. Your registration includes an official Convoy t-shirt, as well as music, catered lunch, and a raffle with chances to win prizes! Better yet, you'll be helping Idaho Special Olympic Athletes! In 2005 Idaho's convoy boasted 130 trucks and was the second largest in the nation. In 2010, convoys will be held in BOISE Only, so don't miss out on this once a year opportunity in the great State of Idaho!  You can register up to the day of the event but registering now ensures your spot and makes the day of the event a little less painful for all of us!

Allows:

Your additional donation of $100 allows entry in the convoy for a Fire Truck, Police or Military Vehicle that may otherwise not be able to participate in the convoy. Your donation will also support our 1,900 Idaho Athletes...and is tax deductible!
